Bon Jovi says Steve Jobs killed music business

Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to 10, holding the jacket, closing their eyes and getting lost in an album; and the beauty of taking your allowance money and making a decision based on the jacket, not knowing what the record sounded like, and looking at a couple of still pictures and imagining it.

So for starters: he contradicts himself. 

Secondly: He does realize that the experience he describes was dead long before iTunes sales took off. Not to mention, with the barrier to entry so low (song snippets to try before you buy, the ability to pay $0.99 for that single song you like - much like when you could actually buy singles, something Mr. Bon Jovi forgot…) people probably are willing to take more risks and discover more new music.

Thirdly: remember when Bon Jovi was relavent?

It’s also pretty indicative of Apple’s—or Steve Jobs’s—feelings regarding physical media too. That’s another matter altogether, however.

I actually have no qualms with the new iTunes icon. As long as iTunes functions fine, then I have no problem. It’s also pretty indicative of Apple’s—or Steve Jobs’s—feelings regarding physical media too. That’s another matter altogether, however.

    Not “fall out boy” or “FOB” or “fAlL oUt Boii”

I try to get the album art of the songs I have. It normally doesn’t bother me if a song doesn’t have its cover art. [It would if the rest of the same artist’s work does, though.]

What I need to work on is the release year. And then I can finally make playlists based on decades. :))

I’m really OC about titles and artist names, though. Spellings must be uniform. When it comes to artist names, I try to match how they write their names on their CDs. For example: In my iTunes library, the boyband that was the chief rival of the Backstreet Boys is listed as “★NSYNC” (with a star, not an asterisk), and is meant to appear under “N”.
