Finally got around to recording a new cover! This one’s “All I Need Is You”, originally by The Click Five.
It’s tradition in our family to perform during Christmas and New Years’. This year, we thought we’d switch things up a bit and perform something from Glee. So that’s me and my nephews singing and dancing to my cover of “Teenage Dream” as featured on Glee, like how Blaine (Darren Criss) and the Warblers performed it.
I made a “studio version” of my “Teenage Dream” cover. Here’s a link: http://www.mediafire.com/?mcareuk1m5zb22x
It’s GVOYS - Christmas carol edition!
Since Christmas is around the corner, I decided to do a pop spin on a traditional Christmas Carol. Listening to David Archuleta’s Christmas album gave me the idea to do my own version of my favorite Christmas songs, “The First Noel”.
It’s a little rough, but I guess it’ll have to do.
!!
O_O I didn’t know you reblogged my video!!! Teehee.

Progress Report: “Teenage Dream” (Acapella cover)
I was finally able to record all the backing vocals during the chorus! Just a few more sections of the song, and I’m done!
Here’s what I have so far. It’s the second half of the first verse and the whole first chorus.
[Again, the main vocals here will most definitely be re-recorded. As will some of the other tracks if I get an OC episode.]
PROGRESS REPORT: “Teenage Dream” (Acapella/Beatbox Cover)
OK, my cover of this song is finally taking shape! I’m so excited!
Anyway, this is just a “rough draft”. So, some things:
- The main vocal’s just for reference. I’m most definitely recording it again after all the backing vocals and percussion have been recorded. [And I fudged the lyrics. Haha!]
- Volume levels are still all over the place. I’ll adjust everything when the rest of the song has been laid out.
- Still missing some harmonies here and there.
- Since this is a draft, none of this is final. I might have to re-record some tracks if they don’t sound right in the end.
Man, I was so proud to have nailed that harmony in the chorus! It was hit and miss, but it paid off, I guess.
Finally made time to make another cover. This time it’s “Alejandro” by Lady GaGa.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out. I’m still a little nervous when I record live, but I’m getting more and more confident. I’m pretty proud of my arrangement too. I played and recorded a shaker and a cajón, to complement the software piano and the tambourine samples. I’m also particularly proud of the background vocal arrangement. ^_^
“Alejandro” was originally recorded by Lady GaGa and was written by Nadir Khayat and Stefani Germanotta.
O Pior Cover De Guns N’ Roses De Todos Os Tempos of the Day: This supremely awful cover of GNR’s “Sweet Child O’ Mine” is oddly compelling in a face-transplant-after-shots sort of way.
It’s like they aren’t even in the same room! Are they even coordinating with each other? It’s as if they’re all doing solos.

I think I had a similar reaction when I first heard my a recording of my voice.
Well This Is Something You Don’t See Every Day of the Day: Danny Fong, the man of 493 voices, performs a solo multitrack a cappella rendition of the (extended) Pokémon theme song.
[kotaku.]
Talent. Raw talent.
